Caving also known as ‘potholing’ or spelunking is the exploration of caving systems.
Upon entering a man size hole hidden in a forest you will be introduced to the enchanting world that exists under our lush green fields. Climbing, ropework and scrambling may all be required on your caving journey.
The Burren Caves in Co. Clare have existed for thousands of years. This strange hundred square mile limestone ‘desert’ where only one river reaches the sea by the over ground course, has more active stream caves than any other part of Ireland.
Our Caving in The Burren adventure is available as part of our 1 day and 5 day tours. 2-3hr underground journey would be typical.
